The 1921 Birch Bark, on the 1920-1929 page above, tells us that 1921was the first year of actual competition between the Blue and White Teams.
Although Miss Constance Applebee started her “Tegawitha Hockey Camp”, for a block of three weeks after camp’s regular season in 1923, field hockey was a regular sport at camp beginning in the first year of operation (1918).  Miss Applebee introduced field hockey to the United States in 1901.
